HISTORY

Why do people hate HISTORY? Because some people dont like wat happened in the past. People tend to forget that the word "history" contains the word "story". History is who we are and why we are the way we are. People are trapped in history, and history is trapped in them. History studies not just facts and institutions, its real subject is the human spirit. And history teaches us the mistakes we are going to make.

ART

Art has different meanings depending on a person’s perspective. Art can be viewed as mastery of a certain skill or talent. It can also be viewed as a piece that appeals to people’s emotions and senses. Well,I like arts because its sort of a hobby for me. I just love being able to express myself without speaking. It can really show things about your personality. Art can speak my truths and it is often more human to me than humanity is.

DESIGN

Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works. A process of creating an object or anything else where we use our creativeness to make the object beautiful.

DESIGN is the most beautiful things in the world. It pleases my soul, which feels good and feeling good, makes life great. Its fun for me, because I enjoy starting out with nothing but paper and coloring objects.

WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM THIS COURSE?

Improve my historical basis and context for graphic design. How to research extensively and think critically and improve my ability to write and communicate.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE DOING IN :

5 YEARS :

In five years, be done with graduate university, and starting a new career. Becoming a professional artist and experienced Art Teacher. I hope to be working with an employer in an increasingly responsible position, that enables me to utilize my talents. Either working at art house or being a wedding planner and finding the love of my life.

10 YEARS :

Established in career and travelling often. I see myself holding up my career in performing and just inspiring kids younger than me since that's what I love to do.

20 YEARS :

I do hope that my future is bright and in 5 or 10 years as i continue to mold my professional and personal goals. Having a wonderful life with the people that I love.

WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO GET FROM THIS PARTICULAR CLASS?

Gain a better knowledge of Art History that will help me define and improve my historical basis and context for graphic design.

IS HISTORY OF ART AND DESIGN NECESSARY DO YOU THINK FOR YOUR LARGER GOALS?

Yes, we proceed out of history into history again. History is not the past, but a map of the past drawn from a particular point of view to be useful to the modern traveler. Hence, history studies not just facts and institutions, its real subject is the human spirit. One of the things I always tell myself never give up, because if you do you will learn that you where but one step from success.
