The Virgin and Child with St Anne and St John the Baptist Ooi Hui Xin 1005309

Over all there is a great picture to me. I think what is truly cool about this picture is the fact that you can see what he was trying to create. You can see that he had a great image going, and that it was going to be extremely detailed. On the right of this picture, you can see a young John the Baptist, nealing at the feat of Saint Anne, and gazing longingly at the Christ Child. The look on his face is contemplative, as if he can see what the future has in store for the both of them. Saint Anne is looking at the Virgin, less like the mother of th Virgin that she is, and almost more like a husband, looking at his wife. But there is a passion hidden there. The child was the Virgin Mary. The Virgin is holding the Christ Child in her lap, and gazes upon him happily. She has a calm look on her face, like a mother who is completely at peace and charm, and knows her child will be alright. As for the Christ Child, he is sitting playfully like a baby. The way he is holding his fingers is as if he is blessing John.
